Ice climbing course Level II
This course is intended for climbers who have already done Level I, or have experience in ice climbing in one length routes and want to upgrade their knowledge and know about the ice climbing technics for several lengths routes.

Contenidos
- Ice climbing theory: Nivology, security chain, factor two, grading and reports on ice climbing.
- Placing bolts on ice, making abalakovs.
- Updating the progression on ice techniques.
- Lead-climber climbing and placing bolts.
- Reunions on ice, protocols for assembling reunions, securing a second climber and changing the lead-climber.
- Installing rappels in several lengths waterfalls and performing self-secured rappelling in several lengths routes.
- Introduction to climbing in mixed ground, Dry Tooling
Necessary material
- Mountain boots
- Mountain helmet
- 2 technical ice-axes
- Crampons
- 35 L bag
- Security material: Arva, shovel and probe
- Harness + carabiner for bolts
- 1 shock absorber
- 4 express bands
- Three HMS carabiners
- One 7 mm and 1,5 mtrs line
- One 60 mtrs double rope
- One 2,40 mtrs flat sewed band
- Securing device like reverso
- Impermeable jacket
- Impermeable trousers
- Warm clothes
- 2 pairs of gloves
- Bonnet
- Sun and blizzard glasses
- Food and water
